

You probably know the reference: the man in a suit with his face hidden by a floating green apple is René Magritte’s The Son of Man. This famous surrealist piece was painted in 1964. The image plays with the idea of how we don’t really see others, even when they are directly in front of us.

Step into a winter wonderland of creativity this December at the Second Annual Christmas Camp Art Exhibition & Sale at 226 Main Street Gallery, where art, holiday cheer and community spirit come together for a truly magical experience.
After the success and joyful turnout of last year’s inaugural show, we’re thrilled to return brighter than ever. With 34 talented artists showcasing their work, this year’s exhibition promises to delight art lovers of all kinds. Discover a diverse array of artistic mediums and styles, from vibrant paintings and whimsical drawings to stunning prints, unique ceramics and many other lovingly handcrafted pieces.
The celebration begins on December 4 with an opening night event where guests can meet the artists and enjoy an exclusive first look at the breathtaking works on display. Modern Electric Lunch, conveniently located next door, will be serving up delicious nibbles and craft cocktails. A wonderful spot to gather during the show. Then, join us for a festive First Friday celebration on December 5, from 5 to 10 PM for even more merriment.
The exhibition runs daily from December 4 to December 18, with weekday and weekend hours from 10 AM to 3 PM, and Thursday evenings until 8 PM, welcoming everyone to experience an exceptional showcase of fine art and contemporary creative expression.
